Wrecker Network Terms

1. What We Provide

Compare Cash For Cars NZ ("we", "us", "the platform") is a lead referral service. We collect enquiries from car sellers across New Zealand and forward those enquiries to registered wreckers operating in the relevant region. We are not a party to any transaction between a wrecker and a seller.

2. No Guarantee of Lead Volume

• We do not guarantee any minimum number of leads per month or per region.
• Lead volume depends on seller traffic in your region. Some regions — particularly at the start of the platform — will receive fewer leads than others.
• We do not guarantee that leads will increase over time, though we actively work to grow seller traffic through advertising and SEO.
• Membership fees are charged per region per month regardless of lead volume received.
• No refunds or credits are issued for months where lead volume is lower than expected.

3. Lead Quality

• We forward seller details as submitted through our platform. We do not independently verify every seller's claimed car condition, ownership, or vehicle history.
• Sellers may withdraw their car from sale after a lead has been forwarded to you. We are not responsible for this.
• We are not responsible if a seller provides inaccurate vehicle details, contact information, or address.
• Some leads will not convert — this is a normal and expected part of any lead generation service. We make no representation about conversion rates.

4. Your Obligations as a Wrecker

• Respond promptly. We expect members to contact sellers within a few hours of receiving a lead. Sellers will not wait — slow response is the most common reason deals fall through.
• Make genuine offers. Your offer to a seller must be honest and reflect a price you are genuinely willing to pay. Lowballing with no intention to honour the offer is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.
• Honour accepted offers. If a seller accepts your offer, you are expected to show up, pay the agreed amount, and collect the vehicle. Renegotiating on arrival — without legitimate reason — is not acceptable.
• Maintain a registered NZ business. You must operate as a legitimate registered business entity in New Zealand for the duration of your membership.
• Physical capability in your region. You must have genuine ability to collect vehicles in the regions you are registered for. You cannot register for regions you cannot service.

5. Multiple Wreckers Per Region

We may onboard more than one wrecker in the same region. When multiple wreckers are registered in a region, leads may be forwarded to more than one of them. We do not guarantee exclusivity by region unless explicitly agreed in writing.

6. Membership Fees & Payment

• Membership is charged at $500 + GST per region per month.
• Payment is due monthly in advance once the free trial period (where applicable) has ended.
• Non-payment will result in suspension of lead forwarding until payment is received.
• We reserve the right to revise pricing with a minimum of 30 days written notice.
• Adding or removing regions takes effect at the next billing cycle unless otherwise agreed.

7. Removal from the Platform

We reserve the right to remove a wrecker from the platform at our discretion, including but not limited to the following reasons:

• Failure to honour accepted offers
• Consistent slow or non-response to leads
• Seller complaints about conduct
• Providing false information during registration
• Ceasing to operate as a registered NZ business
• Any conduct that damages the reputation of the platform or its sellers

Removal may occur without refund of the current month's membership fee.

8. Platform Availability

We aim to keep the platform and lead forwarding service running reliably, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. We are not liable for losses arising from technical outages, email delivery failures, or other service interruptions outside our control.

9. Transactions Are Between Wrecker and Seller

Any transaction that results from a lead we forward is entirely between you (the wrecker) and the seller. We are not a party to the transaction, do not set the purchase price, and accept no liability for any dispute, loss, or claim arising from any transaction between a wrecker and a seller.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered wreckers of material changes by email.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
